In 2011, our school president, Mrs Sameera Al Kooheji, proposed that we establish our own sports league to provide for a wider range of sporting codes which would cater for the needs of both boys and girls.
This initiative inspired other private schools to join and thus BAS, Bahrain Athletes League was born. It consisted of Al Noor International School, Al Hekma International School, Talent International and The Infant School,
Al Rawabi Private School, Hawar International School, Abdul Rahman Kanoo International School, Multinational School and Naseem International School.
Students at Naseem International School were requested to design a suitable logo for the league. One of the seniors, Jawaher Mohamed Bucheeri, submitted the winning design.
Since its establishment, the league arranges more than 20 annual tournaments. These support codes like basketball, volleyball, handball, football, table tennis, badminton and fun runs for boys and girls from Elementary School through Middle School and up to High School level. All one-day tournaments are held on Saturdays and usually take place at Naseem International School’s Gymnasium Soccer Field.
2018-19 year, a trophy signifying the Overall Winner was presented to Naseem International School, as it achieved the most winnings of events and achieved the highest overall points among its competitors.
