MS/HS Library

The mission of the Naseem International School MS/HS Library Program is to ensure that students are effective users of the information. The MS/HS Library strives to provide the school community with a wide range of materials at appropriate levels of difficulty that will encourage growth in knowledge, establish a life-long love of reading, and foster information literacy.

Naseem International School MS/HS Library has introduced E-books from Follett Digital Shelf. An e-book (electronic book) is a book-length publication in digital form consisting of text and images or both readable on computers or other electronic devices. The introduction of e-book will intensify and heighten our student's abilities to access ideas and information more easily.

To supplement the resources for teachers and students. New books of divergent subjects are added to the MS/HS Library during academic school year. The librarians encourage teachers to make extensive use of the resources for their lessons while also encouraging students to develop their love for reading.

The MS/HS Library strives for continuous upgrading to sustain a balanced education, which will allow our students reach their potential in all areas of growth and empower them to become the people they can and want to be.

NIS Middle School and High School Library thrive to be a place where students and teachers can fully amplify their learning ingenuity. The layout of the new 'Work and Reading Areas" were designed with aesthetic and comfort in a modern style to accommodate all and users.

Throughout the year, the librarians initiate regular support programs for students namely, the Library Classes that discuss relevant information about citations, references and plagiarism. The Book Inquirer Program, the reading, writing, listening and speaking challenges are all closely monitored. Certificates of recognition are awarded on a monthly basis to those who participate and those who excel. This is continuously being done to support and collaborate with all subject departments to create a climate for active learning while students also see it as being fun. In the same way, there are other activities designed to encourage students to visit the library more often and improve their personal reading records.

Another main objective is to provide for continuous upgrading to sustain a balanced education. Thus, in order to improve and increase the availability of teacher resources, the new books continuously added to the MSHS Library are carefully chosen to provide additional tools and resources to students and teachers to support and broadening their knowledge. We continue to maintain and update this valuable reservoir of resources.
