Mrs. Sameera Al-Kooheji, the owner and president/executive director of NIS, who has been managing the school since it was established in 1982, worked on forming the school's first Advisory Board. This board was established based upon a recommendation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) when the school was accredited K-8 in1997. Since then the Board has played an important and pivotal role in providing guidance and advice to the school leadership on matters related to school policies and future plans.
