Facilities & Resources - School Campus

The school provides a welcoming, yet secure environment where the safety of all staff, students and visitors is paramount.  All teaching and learning areas and other areas of instruction, both indoors and outdoors are kept pristinely clean with a high emphasis on hygiene and tidiness. Optimum hygiene standards are maintained in the dining hall and the food serving areas. The teaching spaces and play areas are colorfully decorated and painted to enhance the learning environment and this contributes towards making it challenging and appealing for all students to enjoy their years of learning.

The campus comprises of a spacious three block u-shaped complex housing 56 air-conditioned classrooms, science laboratories, IT labs, design technology workshop, auditorium, libraries, office areas and conference facilities. The third floor above the B-wing which houses the NIS Art Gallery and two adjoining art studios and the NIS Cultural Theater.  The campus also has green areas, kindergarten play areas, elementary school play areas, a basketball and volleyball court and a running track. There is an adjacent complex that includes a gymnasium, enclosed outdoor soccer field and a car park. All facilities throughout the campus are easily accessible including wheelchair accessibility.

Classroom Environments

The architecturally designed classrooms are colorfully decorated, well-lit with centralized air conditioning to provide well ventilated rooms suitable for effective teaching and learning. All classrooms had been repainted with new color schemes, parquet flooring, dedicated storage spaces and movable furniture to allow for a range of learning and teaching spaces. Nursery, KG and some ES classrooms have in-class sinks with running water to allow for good hygiene education as part of the teaching programme. All classes are well equipped with a variety of internationally sourced teaching and learning materials and fitted with a Active Board. Students are encouraged to use an approved electronic device namely the Chromebook for research and therefore, wireless internet access is available throughout the campus. The safe of the use Chromebook is guaranteed by the school's strict policies and protective measures of the appropriate limitations on content and firewalls. The STEAM Makerspace is colorfully painted, beautifully decorated and stocked with a multitude of learning materials and resources for the enjoyment of Nursery and KG students. Two fully resourced Media Centers cater for all students in the Elementary, Middle and High School.
